Winery Tasting Notes
For our premium Cabernets, we look for ripe fruit flavours of blackberry, damson plum and blackcurrant. Importantly, we wish to avoid any green, herbal notes. Fermentation took place in several batches, using small open fermenters for between 10-14 days. Pressings were included with free-run juice after evaluation. The wine was then matured in French and American oak barrels for fourteen months prior to blending and bottling
Opaque dark red-purple.
Blackberry, cassis and plum aromas with a hint of varietal spearmint on the nose. Oak is in the background.
The palate is concentrated and full. This variety can be tannic in its youth but here, the rich fruit has enveloped the structure of the wine to provide a generous, smooth mouthfeel with a long, powerfully constructed finish.
Winery Profile
Established in 1984 by the infamous restauranteur LeonMassoni and legendary winemaker Ian Homes, founder of Yellowglen. In 1996-2000with the assistance of the Ursini family, we established the GlenKara Estatevineyard in the Victorian Pyrenees Ranges, boasting the largest vineyard in theregion (269ha). In 2006, we purchased the Mt Eliza Estate vineyard (8.9ha) onthe Mornington Peninsula.
Currently, all wines are made at the Dromana winery. Massonispecializes in making wines that stand the test of time. With many of ourPyrenees wines being released with 2-3 years of bottle age.
Over the last 19 years, we have focused on making wines thatour clients want to enjoy with their family and friends.

Asset Collection
This is a pick up sale. Collection is the responsibility of the purchaser.
Pick up is available by advance booking only once cleared funds are received. Booking can be made for a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or a Friday collection between 11am & 3pm (excluding public holidays). Bookings must be made 48 hours prior to pick up date and time.
Collection without a booking is not possible. Please refer to your winner's email for booking information.
Items must be picked up within 10 working days from receipt of payment, or else they may be deemed abandoned.

To collect your purchases please bring a copy of your invoice and photo ID. If you intend to send a third party to collect your goods on your behalf, you need to send them with a copy of your invoice along with a photocopy of your photo ID and signed note of authority permitting Grays staff to release your purchases to the third party.

- Grays accepts no responsibility for transit damage to these items once they have been picked up from the warehouse.
- Items must be inspected before removal from Grays as refunds or exchange are not given under any circumstances.
- Any items not collected after the last pick up date may be deemed abandoned and resold or otherwise disposed of.
