Description
1000BC WESTERN ASIATIC BRONZE HORSE STATUETTE
- A finely-preserved western asiatic bronze animal statuette of a horse with a lowered head and a ring to the rear of the statuette, dated to the 1st millenium BC (1000BC).
- Pieces such as this are rarely found outside of museums.
- West Asia is the westernmost region of Asia. The subregion consists of Anatolia, the Arabian Peninsula, Iran, Mesopotamia, the Armenian highlands, the Levant, the island of Cyprus, the Sinai Peninsula and the South Caucasus.
- West Asia contains the majority of the similarly defined Middle East.
- Dated to the 1st millenium BC (1000BC)
- Size: 26mm x 23mm x 12mm
- Provenance: From an important Cambridgeshire estate, UK, acquired by the collector before 2000. Then acquired by an esteemed Australian collector and henceforth held in a private collection in Sydney, Australia.
- Condition: This piece is extremely well preserved and remains in excellent condition - refer images.
- Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (Internationally recognised BidSafe authentication and verification number: 4998290-27)
- Inspected and verified by an archaeologist and prominent historical author with a PhD in archaeology.
- Due to the Importance of this Piece, it was Required to have an Open General Export Licence (O.G.E.L.) Issued by the United Kingdom Government Prior to Export. The Arts Council England also Checked this Piece on the INTERPOL Stolen Works of Art Database and Cleared it for Export. (SN:4998290-27) (310537-4)

Payment
We accept the following methods of Payment:
Credit Card
- 1.2% surcharge applies to Mastercard & VISA transactions

- Invoices totalling less than $10,000 will be automatically debited from the card nominated within your account

EFT (Direct Deposit)
- For invoices totalling in excess of $10,000. Payment must be made in full within two business days of the auction closing.
