Description
This was found in the phosphate mines in Morocco
- People dig through the phosphates and look for fossils and these teeth and bone fragments are found embedded into the phosphates. They then take the teeth and bone fragments and put them together forming a really cool looking partial Jaw.
- Teeth and bone fragments may not all be from the same individual. You can see what the phosphates look like from the photo of the back of the fossil - which is phosphates as found)
- They basically grind the phosphates up into a powder and insert the teeth and bone fragments into it to form the Jaw
- So everything here is genuine (Except for the glue) and around 70 million years old but its been reconstructed into this stunning fossil display but wasn`t found in this condition
- Mosasaur`s grew to twenty meters in length with a two meter mouth and were apex predators that would have terrorized the cretaceous seas
- They died out with the Dinosaurs 66 million years ago. In one of the Jurassic Park movies a Mosasaur jumps out of a theme park aquarium and eats a shark whole
- The Moroccan phosphate fields were laid down between roughly 93 and 33 million years ago and you often see fossils buried together that are millions of years apart
- Many kinds of fossils are found including shark, stingray, turtle, snake, Mosasaur, various Fish, Lizards etc
- Many of the fossils you find are not identifiable or maybe bone fragments
- The Moroccan phosphate mines is probably the most fossil rich area on earth and if you dig through the sediments other fossils often appear (312921-531)

We accept the following methods of Payment:
Credit Card
- 1.2% surcharge applies to Mastercard & VISA transactions
- 0.7% surcharge applies to Debit card transactions

- Invoices totalling less than $10,000 will be automatically debited from the card nominated within your account

EFT (Direct Deposit)
- For invoices totalling in excess of $10,000. Payment must be made in full within two business days of the auction closing.
