The World Ranking of Wines and Spirits (WRW&S) award Taylors as the most awarded winery in the world for 2017- the first time this has been achieved by any Australian winery.

OurPhilosophy… At Taylors we really believe ‘The wine is everything’ and it isthis simple mantra which provides the corner stone to our wine-makingphilosophy and is behind every decision taken within the business. It was asingle wine - a first growth Bordeaux - which inspired Bill Taylor to take theplunge and to purchase a block of land in the Clare Valley and set aboutcrafting a quality wine, which reflected the terroir and could rival its ‘oldworld’ Cabernet Sauvignons. Almost four decades later, the company remainsfamily owned and the philosophy unchanged. Admittedly, the winery now plants alittle more than just cabernet sauvignon – with nearly 750ha of vineyards inthe Clare Valley, the family excels in a number of different varieties to makeup its extensive, award winning portfolio – from terrific value, everydaydrinking wines to the finest Australian wines at the pinnacle of theTaylors portfolio. And the same philosophy runs religiously through the familytree today. Following his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps, thirdgeneration winemaker Mitchell Taylor is well aware of his heritage, and passionatein its continuance. A blend of ‘old world’ estate philosophy and ‘new world’winemaking innovation, combined with an almost fanatical attention to detailand obsession with quality, has kept this dream alive, and resulted in wines oftremendous style and quality. This philosophy has also resulted in a rangeof fine wines which regularly receive awards and accolades in Australiaand on the highly competitive world stage.
