Bungawarra Festival Red

A heavy, sweet red wine made from cabernet and shiraz.

Jamiesons Run Coonawarra Cabernet Blend 2001

A new release from Jamiesons Run, however it needs some time for the tannins to soften. Opaque black purple colour with mauve hue. The nose shows distinct Cabernet character with notes of spice, blackcurrant, cedar and liquorice. The palate flavours are tight and subordinate the fruit. Flavours of spice, blackcurrant and mocca emerge. Long dry furry tannin aftertaste.

Taylors Cabernet Sauvignon 2002

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The blackcurrant top note is supported by spice and liquorice and just a top note of cedar. On the palate, flavours of dark chocolate, blackcurrant and mocha are followed by fine, dry tannins with a very long aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark chocolate and mocha.

Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon 1988

A classic Coonawarra Cabernet with pristine dark berry/ cassis aromas, fine-grained tannins and underlying savoury nuances, it develops into a rich, chocolaty wine with age.

Lindemans Limestone Ridge Shiraz Cabernet 1991

Deep ruby-plum in colour. Spicy Coonawarra Shiraz aromas, complexed by ripe, blackberry Cabernet fruit dominate the bouquet. This is complemented by 'sweet', toasty, coconut oak and rich ground-coffee barrel fermentation characters. The palate is full bodied and rich in fruit flavour, perfectly balanced by oak and fine soft tannins. The result is a complex, harmonious flavour and superb palate length.

Wolf Blass Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir 1999

Very deep crimson colour, with mauve ruby edge. The nose displays appealing aromas of spice, cherry and liquorice. The palate has excellent weight and velvet smooth texture. Flavours of cherry, spice, stewed fruit and liquorice, with the flavours beginning to build on the back palate. Silky smooth tannins, followed by cherry spice aftertaste. A well made, soft, flavoursome, light red.
