Black Gate Sherry Cask #007 Single Malt Whisky (1x 500mL), NSW
Black Gate was established in 2009 with the first distillery in Central West of New South Wales, Australia. Being a relatively newer distillery, Black Gate has won over the hearts of whisky lovers and has received global acclaim for the premium expressions it produces including being selected for NOMA Australia and being featured in Luke McCarthy's book 'The Australian Spirits Guide'.
This was only the 7th Cask released from the creative minds of Genise and Brian Hollingworth who own the Black Gate Distillery in Mendooran, NSW. Named the 007 for reasons that need no explaining (we hope ?). It’s a moreish small batch, single malt whisky aged in a single 100 litre sherry cask for 3 years using unpeated malt. The cask yielded 215 bottles that were released in April 2016, individually numbered and hand signed by Brian Hollingworth.
